EDUCATION

The Foundation's interest in education is central to the foundation activities and the Foundation has sponsored over 275k.gif (72744 bytes) educational exchanges.  Here are some of the exchanges.  

A team of 8 educators and community leaders from Fort Gay traveled to Korolev, Russia for an eight day educational exchange.

f you are young and you visit Russia, your life is changed forever.  Read about a few of our student exchanges and the impact they have had. 

Nine Korolev educators traveled to West Virginia in the spring of 1998 to spend ten days visiting with their American counterparts.

A group of advanced students and two professors from Moscow State Social University  traveled though out West Virginia to view, first-hand, many of WV's social programs.

In close cooperation with Moscow State Social University, Marshall University provided classes in English as a Second Language to Russian students.

Russian students ages 12 to 17 moved their school "The Russia School"   (RSA) to West Virginia for a semester.  In addition to the usual classes, the students participated in American Cultures, English As a Second Language, and Computers.
